Top 3 Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar

Okay, so I am slightly obsessing over Apple Cider Vinegar right now. I’ve already written two blog posts on it and I promise this is the last one… For now. Besides clearing my dark spots and acne, ACV has even more benefits when added to your diet. Some people take it as a shot straight from the bottle cap. And while it’s good to be taking it, it’s not good to be taking it straight. I used to do this actually and it would make my teeth feel funny. Later on, I learnt that because of the acetic acid in it, taking it straight can really damage your teeth enamel. So, do like Kourtney Kardashian and grab a tall glass of water and pour your shot into that, mix well and drink up!

There really are a lot of benefits to taking Apple Cider Vinegar, but today I’m only going to focus on 3 of them. So, let’s get started.

1. Reduce Belly Fat

So, I have this stubborn belly fat around my midsection that I wish wasn’t there. And before you attack me, just know that it’s my body and I can create whatever goals that I want for it. The goal being to have my abs finally showing. Anyway, I’ve been reading that ACV helps with making you feel full, so you don’t end up over eating. Which, I have a weakness for Oreos and tend to eat the whole box by myself within two days. Oops. So, by taking ACV and keeping my appetite in check, I can end those cravings that I give in to and feel so guilty about after. You know what I’m talking about, right?

Women need a lot of calcium in their body and ACV helps to absorb that calcium all that much better. More calcium equals stronger bones and as we age this is extremely important. I’m trying to stay away from dairy products and stick to my Paleo lifestyle, so I take a women’s multivitamin to get my calcium. I will go into more detail about the vitamins I take in a later post.

3. Detoxifies Liver

If you’re anything like me, you may like to indulge in a glass of wine or two as often as socially acceptable. I like to pretend that wine is the healthiest version of alcohol, but I don’t really have any proof to that. So, it’s good to have a good detox once in awhile; especially for your liver. ACV helps to flush out the toxins from the liver and improves its natural blood filtration process.
